TaxiBeam
TaxiBeam is an easy-to-use iPhone application, which revolutionizes the taxi business.
The passenger starts with one click on the iPhone a request to all free taxis around his or her location. The taxi driver that confirms the ride first obtains the assignment. The locations of the taxi driver as well as of the passenger are displayed on the iPhone’s Google Maps.
ScyDev.ch developed a customized desktop application for use in the taxi central. It communicates with the Taxi Beam server in realtime und, matches the position data and facilitates efficient taxi assignment.
